Role

In occupational health, a role is the bundle of expectations, responsibilities, and pressures attached to a worker's position — both the official job description and the unwritten demands of organizational culture. Role clarity (knowing what is expected), role fit (alignment between your strengths and your tasks), and role boundaries (protecting against overload) are all key to whether work energizes or depletes you. Many occupational health problems trace back to roles that are poorly defined, poorly matched, or poorly bounded.
